14th August 2007 Windsurfing: El Medano Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Scorchio!!! Sea Temperature: Weather: WtW sunshine :) Max Speed: Distance Covered: No probs with the ankle this morning...woohoo! Thank you ibuprofen! The wind was a bit lighter than hoped/expected early doors so I picked out the trusty Wedge 5.8 from the OTC rig racks and plugged it into some more of the FSWs. What a great sail that is! Straight away I was well powered up whilst Tom and Mungo were blobbing on 5.8-6.3 and by the end of the session I was seriously stacked whereas T+M were still underpowered... :) Surprisingly after my ankle twisting incident on it yesterday my favourite board of the session was the Fanatic. It seriously shifts in moderate conditions and I was flying past almost everyone even some on bigger sails - great fun. After another yummy long lunch at Cafe M we went for session 2 on 5.2s. The wind was a bit gusty but some mushy ankle snappers had popped up to play on just right for the Tabou 3S which was great fun and the best of the FSWs for trying a bit of onshore frontside riding. |
